Santi Elias’s work speaks to his spirit of experimentation, openness to different cultures and lifestyles, and keen observation through cinematographic art. The director has helmed award-winning campaigns for Nike, Volkswagen, and Burger King, among others.

Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Santi started his career in 1997 working at a production company and film processing lab where he took on many roles, including camera assistant, film loader, editor, grip, coffee delivery, and U-Matic video archiver in a dusty basement.

During that period, he attended Universidad del Cine, where he studied Cinematography and Film Direction, as well as Music at the EMBA (School of Music of Buenos Aires). During this time, he worked on experimental short films, video art, music videos, and photography.

Santi then ventured into several TV series, working as a director's assistant and second unit director before becoming a director’s assistant at some of Argentina's most notable production companies.

In 2008, he began directing full-time and joined the roster of directors at production company Primo in 2011. He currently splits his time between Argentina and Uruguay developing new content projects.
